Let us start the City Park walk at the Millennium Bridge, right behind Heroes' Square.
After taking a short look around, we set out towards the Vajdahunyad castle, this eclectic, whimsical building. We find out what to call the nameless poet who first recorded the story of the Hungarians. Not only agricultural tools and machinery are exhibited in the museum here, but the lifestyle of the Hungarians over the past 1000 years is also dramatically demonstrated.
The Széchenyi Spa is one of the greatest spas of Europe, famous for its beauty and also for its curative waters and relaxing, unique ambience. You can even try out its natural curative mineral water's curative properties by drinking it bottle straight from the source at the St. Stephen's well.
The "amusement-triangle" of Budapest is on the menu next: the fun-fair, the Budapest City Circus and the Budapest Zoo with a 100-year history, providing fun for both old and young. During our walk we may view these from outside, passing ancient trees and the vendors at the children's bazaar.
At the end of our walk we may also take a look at the birthplace of the world-famous Gundel pancakes, where we recommend you a number of quaint and elegant restaurants of the capital.
