The historical Jewish Quarter's pristine centre can be found close to one of Budapest's major traffic junctions, the Deák Ferenc Square. There may be a gap of hundreds of years and we may now only walk around where the legendary Jewish marketplace and block house stood, but the story is fascinating, anyway. The Anker Palace and the Madách-houses are the starting point of our tour.
The Synagogue in Dohány Street is the second largest and one of the most beautiful synagogues in the world, one which represented a unique architectural solution at the time of its building.
The synagogue leads directly into the Jewish Museum, where we provide a comprehensive guide through the rooms that completely reveal us to the bygone atmosphere of the Jewish holidays and daily life.
The tour is NOT recommended to be taken on Saturdays, since most of the scenes are closed on that day!
